Artificial Intelligence will change how we work. Most jobs will be taken over by technology. In various ways, such as stores and customer service, and in healthcare helping find diseases earlier on and finding new ways to treat them successfully. According to a 2023 report compiled by McKinsey, AI could replace about 30% of jobs around the world by 2030 which is most likely true. Although this is somewhat concerning and may make people feel nervous or scared many experts say that new jobs will be created, especially those associated with technology, data analytics, and machine learning,  requiring workers to learn new skills to adapt correctly to new jobs around them.

One big concern is that AI systems tend to be biased. For example, some people claim an AI system is used in hiring, which raises claims of discrimination against specific people. AI researchers like Dr. Amelia Hall point out that this issue may increase already existing problems in our society. It is important that as AI grows and becomes more advanced guidelines are set to be able to keep control of AI and people using it so that it can continue to help governments and businesses grow in a good way and not hurt anyone physically or emotionally.

Using apps like Uber, the process of job searching is now fed by algorithms that match workers with jobs for their desired needs. This could mean less job security and wages for the workers making it harder for people to live and provide for their families, but the new technology leads us to think about where the labour market is headed. As the future with AI develops, it will be important to keep technology up to date and advanced but secure and safe at the same time making sure it supports everyone without causing any problems that may hurt people around it.

Reflection

In these past few weeks, I've been learning about The Impacts of Artificial Intelligence and blogging my way through it, I have learned so much about how technology is now in so many areas of our world, from healthcare and education to entertainment and everyday life. Writing about AI has helped inform me about how it may be both a curse and a blessing to human beings. For instance, AI-powered tools can help doctors make faster detections of diseases. Still, there may also be some red flags about privacy and security when it comes to social media and other AI software. These pros and cons show we need to be cautious in using AI daily. Something that I believe I've gotten slightly better at throughout this blogging experience is my ability to explain complicated ideas that may be hard to understand but still be able to explain and understand them thoroughly. Bringing the ideas down to the relatable everyday language was a task I sometimes found tiring to do. Of all my blog pos...
